Rabbi & Rebbetzin


Rabbi and Rebbetzin Daniel and Sarah Rabin have recently joined the NEJC!

Rabbi Rabin was born and raised  in Johannesburg, South Africa where he graduated from The Torah Academy Boys High School. Since then he has advanced his Jewish knowledge in various Rabbinical Colleges both locally and overseas, including Melbourne, South Africa, USA and Israel. After receiving his Rabbinic ordination (smicha), he has worked in a number of communities in various roles including assistant Rabbi, outreach director, and director of adult education.

Rabbi Rabin arrived in Australia in early 2009 where he directed Chabad on Campus and worked with University Students from across Melbourne and built the organization into a vibrant, fun and warm place for students.Rabbi Rabin currently serves as Chaplain to Monash University, Deakin and Melbourne University and still connects and is involved with numerous students.

He also volunteers with the CSG (community security group) and recently became the Rabbinic Liason for the group.

Rabbi Rabin is already making a mark on the community and has a wide range of exciting and new projects which he aims to launch for the community. The Rabin home is a warm and welcoming place and they look forward to hosting community and outside members for Shabbat and Holiday meals. The Rabbi also also enjoys sports, outdoors and excercising and is happy to have a run in Doncaster with any willing people:)

Rebbetzin Rabin is also a dynamic and vibrant young women. She is warm, outgoing and dedicated and is extermely excited to bring new ideas and inspiration to the community and aims to get the women involved.

Rebbetzin Rabin was born and raised in San Francisco, California where she grew up in a home which was always open. She is one of 10 siblings and her father and mother are the Rabbi and Rebbetzin at a shul in San Francisco. 

The Rabin's have 2 children Aaron and Shaina who are also very excited to meet all the other children in the community.

Rabbi and Rebbetzin Rabin are already beginning to build meaningful relationships with families and individuals of the community and aim to become an integral part of the North Eastern Jewish Centre. They are highly committed to Jewish outreach and are dedicated to the continual growth of the community.
