Dear Members and friends of the North Eastern Jewish Centre (NEJC),
I hope this letter finds you well. Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your continual support and involvement in our community. Your unwavering dedication plays a vital role in our ability to host an array of enriching events and initiatives that enrich the communal spirit.
This year, we are thrilled to announce that the NEJC is transitioning from a High Holidays guide to a comprehensive, full-colour Annual Calendar. This engaging calendar will serve as an everyday resource, marking not only secular and Jewish dates, but also featuring educational messages, detailed information about upcoming holidays, Shabbat and Holiday candle lighting times, and a range of NEJC programs for the entire year.
A unique element of our Annual Calendar is the inclusion of personal/family special occasions. Whether it’s a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding, Yahrtzeit, birthday, or anniversary, these momentous occasions will be printed and commemorated in all copies of the calendar on the date of the event, making their mark in every home and office throughout the North Eastern suburbs and the broader Jewish community.
We are offering two significant ways for you to contribute to this project:
- Advertising: Unlike typical advertisements that have a limited lifespan, our Annual Calendar will be viewed and utilised throughout the year, providing maximum visibility and return on your investment. Your messages, whether promoting a business, product or service, or sending a personal greeting, will resonate across the Doncaster and broader Jewish community.
- Yahrtzeit Sponsorship or Other Special Occasion: For a contribution of $36, you can sponsor a specific day in the calendar to commemorate a loved one or to mark a significant family milestone. This day’s dedication will be printed and distributed in every calendar, honouring or celebrating the chosen individual or event in a meaningful and lasting way. Please see below the costing for various insertions.
Your involvement in this project is not just about advertising or commemorating a loved one; it’s a crucial component of our fundraising efforts, which fortify the NEJC’s growth and ability to continue serving our community.

Please provide the names and occasions below, exactly as you’d like them to appear in our calendar. All occasions will be displayed in the calendar box on the date which they occur. Years are not required but will assist us in determining your Hebrew date (Years will NOT be printed in the calendar).
Note: Under ‘Occasion’, please specify whether it is an Anniversary, Birthday, or Yahrtzeit. Please indicate if you require the Hebrew or Secular date to be used. For members who wish to record Yahrtzeits, we will use the Hebrew date on file in the office. Please indicate, whether any changes are required.
